This is a great starter kit if you have never tried mineral makeup before. There are sample sizes of foundation, coverup, eyeshadow, blush and lip products as well as brushes for applying the makeup. All the products are light, creamy and provide good coverage. I received several compliments on my new look after using the products. I would purchase products from this company again.

The kit includes whole basic items of Jane Iredale's products. Because their products have been made with a very different concept from other cosmetics, the kit provided a great opportunity to experience the different texture, and to figure out which item I want to purchase. For instance, at first, the loose powder (Golden Glow) seemed too dark for my light complexion, but actually left very suttle pigment on the skin, so turned out to be excellent to contour. In addition, as surprisingly small amount is needed, many of the items would be enough for several months although they look small. I highly recommend this kit to everyone who is interested in mineral makeup, but for myself, next time I would purchase separate items that I liked in this kit.

Jane Iredale Sample kits are the best to try and gives you alittle something to test without the huge price. I have been wanting to try Iredales make-up. I loved the way everything went on my skin. Do not get overwhelmed with the prices as they last a long time and Dermstore works with you 100%. They were so helpful on the phone. I love the no shipping even when I decided I wanted to order a larger size of the lip balm. I cannot wait to buy more.

This is a very nice kit. I bought it to try out the Iredale line before buying any individual components, and each piece is great. My favorite is the lip plumper. This is a very nice cosmetics line, and you get a nice taste of several components with this. My only slight complaint is the "golden glow" mineral makeup shade included was a little dark for me and I had to cut it a lot with lighter powder to use.

These colors aren't meant for any light skin I've ever seen. Maybe med-light, but only with a tan. They look muddy and dark. The texture and coverage is nothing special, I don't get all the hype about Jane Iredale.

Thank you for sharing your experience with our Sample Kit light. The colors are chosen very carefully for our Sample Kits. We try to include the most popular colors so that you can try a little bit of everything. We are in the process of changing the Amazing Base shade included in this kit from Golden Glow, which is a darker shade and has a warm tone, to Radiant, which is lighter and more neutral.
The Sample kit is a fantastic introduction to the Jane Iredale line of makeup. Instead of buying the Sample kit again, I will purchase the actual full size products.

This kit has everything- if it came in a larger size, I wouldn't need anything else. The 2 shades of powder are perfect.

I really like all the items in the kit. At first, I thought the loose powder was too dark but after using it several times, the color seems to even out after it has been on for a little while. I have combination skin, some redness and large pores around my nose. This make up is better than anything that I have ever used for those problems. I also loved the eyeshadow and the different lip products. I will definitely buy most of these products again.
