Reviews of CosMedix Lightning MD 6%

Lightning MD is the only product I have found that is not irritating to my skin and gently lightens pigmentation from previous sun exposure. I use it on my upper chest forearms and dorsum of the hand, where I have some hyperpigmentation from sun exposure in years past. It really helps to reduce the pigmented areas.

I have dark persistent diagnosed Melasma since over 15 years. Though I've been wearing a 55 SPF sunblock, I continuously battle more freckles as live in S. FL. I've been religiously using Cosmedix Lightning MD 6%, for about 6 weeks and have started seeing a slight bleaching with my lighter freckles. Advised, it will take about 3-6 months to see radical improvement. My derms amazed and will no longer use him. Not for sensitive skin. I'm ecstatic to see any improvement, as I have tried both Clear & Blender by Obaji, and Tri-Luma, none worked. Persistent daily usage I'm sure will fade my Melasma. Must be used daily along with sun avoidance as well as daily usage of a high SPF sunblock both indoors and outdoors. You've got a customer for life.

Nice and light on skin. My skin seemed brighter within only a week of using the product. Noticed my pigmentation starting to fade within 14 days of using the serum.

I am using this product along with Cosmedix 4% Refine. Thus far I am noticing some lightening of the area but would like even better results. At times, the product can cause a burning feeling and some itchiness. Because of this I tend to take a break from it for a night or two. But overall, I am seeing some positive changes and think the darkness will lighten even more.

It seems to work on discoloration and makes my skin feel like it glows. I feel like it doesn't come with a whole lot of product if you are to use it as directed.

I tried this product for 2 weeks with NO positive results. My skin improved at first, but by the second week it got worse. I have now switched over to Murad, and both my skin and pocket book are very happy about it! I am finally acne free!

i bought the skin lightener for a few dark spots i had on my face as a result of acne scarring....and my how this works. The scars are not completely gone but definatley a lot lighter!!!

Not greasy or oily, absorbs quickly and you layer other products over it. Use AM and Pm and over time especially used with their Vitamin C product it will lighten freckles and age spots. Helps prevent new spots. Always use Cosmedix sun screen. Absolutely the BEST. Sprays like water. NO OIL. Makeup stays in place and doesn't cause makeup meltdown in the heat.

I love all Cosmedix products. This lightening product seems to be working in areas on my lower jaw where I am applying it.

The cosmedix lightning md 6% is the best skin lightening lotion i have used so far it really has lightened some stubborn brown pigmented spots and exfoliated the skin at the same time.
