Awesome product from NorthGate, ND Verified Purchaser This sunblock is really thick, but didn't make my skin greasy or oily like most sunblocks. I have used a lot of obagi products and have been very impressed. My skin is oily/acne prone and I have had problems with hyperpigmentation and a sunblock like this really helps! Best sunscreen for truly sensitive skin! LT from Richmond, VA Verified Purchaser Really wonderful for my sensitive skin. I have both rosacea and eczema and my skin won't tolerate chemical sunscreens. I love the fact that the zinc content is higher in this product than in others, really provides a cooling effect. The only drawback is the bottle - it's very stiff and you end up losing a lot of product by not being able to get the last bit out. Review posted 1/8/2010.

Great if you have allergies! from Downingtown, PA Verified Purchaser VERY hypo-allergenic. I have lots of allergies and this was great. The only down side is that it is fairly heavy, and does not go into the skin as much as I would have liked. Review posted 10/30/2009.

thickness is GOOD for sunblocks by janette
I know it feels uncomfortable to rub such a thick cream on your face but a thick consistency for a sunblock, especially one with zinc, is expected, and is a good sign that it will really protect against the harmful rays of the sun. For me, I use about an inch of cream and I continue to rub it in my face until it disappears. Just keep rubbing and the white cream will penetrate and disappear in your skin. I have the confidence it will provide superior protection. As a plus, it doesn't cause me to breakout.

Good finish, white cast from Chicago, IL Verified Purchaser Pros: Non-irritable (all ZnO), matte finish
Cons: obvious white cast, collects in pores and emphasizes them, ultrahigh price, PPD (UVA) protection factor at most 9
Conclusion: Obagi needs to tint it and improve the spreading properties so it doesn't collect in pores. Review posted 5/23/2007.
Comment from DermStore staff: Physical Nu-Derm Sunblock - SPF 32Like with any product, the consistency or texture may not be ideal for your skin type. Keep in mind that DermStore offers a return policy on products that are unsatisfactory to our customers. Comment posted 5/24/2007.

the best sunblock for melasma from Phoenix, AZ Verified Purchaser I was given the gift of melasma through preganancy. I have learned that good sun protection will keep melasma away. Through an intense investigation of what type of sunscreen is best for melasma and aslo one to just to keep wrinkles away, I discovered that one has to look for sunscreen with either titanium dioxide or zinc oxide - prefferably zinc oxide. Nu-derm's Obagi Physical Sunblock has serevd me well. I hardly ever notice any reapperarances of melasma when I use it and i feel more confident when I am out in the sun than ever before.
