Reviews of Jane Iredale Powder-Me SPF SPF 30 Dry Sunscreen - Translucent

I think this product gives wonderful daily production and a smooth make-up finish. I generally don't wear any type of foundation with this product since it looks good by itself. Sometimes I use a bit of powder. The worst thing is I think it may, occasionally, enhance small acne break-outs. I think the powder may clog pores.

This product was recommended to me by a pharmacist for my sensitive skin. I specifically requested something that I could use for activitities at higher altitude. Today I tested the product on a sunny day on Mt Rainier at 8600 feet of elevation while skiing and suffered a serious sun burn. I reapplied this product on my face and neck several times throughout the day (at least 5 times) and both areas are completely burned. I applied it on my arms maybe twice throughout the day and suffered a very, very bad and painful burn. The results of using this product are as if I had used no sunscreen at all. My friends used a regular sunscreen today and got no sunburn or not even redness. This is a horrible, dangerous product that doesn't work as suscreen at all!

I blend a tiny amount of loose bronzer powder with the Jane Iredale powder-me sunscreen so it doubles for me as both sunblock and makeup. I found if I used the product all by itself, it can look a bit white. Also as summer approaches, I can adjust the amount of bronzer I add so I can look more tan if I want, or less, as we head into winter. I just dust it on with a fluffy brush over my moisturizer and I am good to go. The finish is matte and lasts all day. No touch ups needed. I love this product. No shimmer, no shine, no breakouts. No fragrance. It works. Super easy.

The powder doesn't come out easily; it is an awkward way to use the powder. I would not order this product again.

I love the Powder-Me SPF 30. This product isn't heavy or oily like many sunblock powders. The translucent color allows my skin color to show through and doesn't look caked on.

This is an excellent sun protection product - non-greasy or irritating. The powder gives good coverage especially for vulnerable areas such as shoulders and neck and is easy to re-apply throughout the day.

This product is awesome. It is very light weight. I love how easy it is to use on my son and myself. It does not leave you all greasy feeling.

Nice coverage, but definitely not really "translucent" - it appears a bit light in color - makes my latte foundation too light.

this powder has SPF 30 and also helps cover some redness (not too much, though). great thing about it is that it reduces shine and hides pores. seems to last me a long time too

i just use it in place of BE mineral veil...the spf makes me feel good!

anyone try the tinted version? wondering if it might be too dark on my face.

I like the idea of being able to apply sunblock with much ease as this product has the potential of doing, however, the application itself has been more time consuming due to the applicator/sponge. I've had to resort to other means of application which for me defeat the purpose of the powder sunblock. Would be willing to reconsider if the applicator/sponge feature is changed or redesign so application can be more practical and time efficient.

I like this powder for touch ups throughout the day when I know I will be spending some time outdoors. I keep it with me at all times in my purse. The only thing that I didn't like was that it's a tad messy when you first open the lid to apply, but other than that, it's great!

Powder in a canister with a shake-through application sponge. I open the canister and apply with a powder brush to my face. I do not use foundation because I do not like to "mask" my skin. This product is a sheer mineral powder that controls mild oiliness and has an spf of 30.

I love this sunscreen! It's extremely easy to apply. Will definitely buy again.
