Love this sunscreen! from Seattle, WA

After requesting and using a sample of this from my dermatologist I bought a bottle from this website. It's the best solution I've found for facial sunscreen as it wears like a BB cream, but with a different application texture. The product is very liquidy and spreads well. My only small complaint is the long list of chemicals in the ingredient list as there is a light smell of...chemicals is the best word I can find. Not bothersome but wish it was not detectable. I use this product with Colorescience SPF 50 powder and it works well.

Best Sunscreen from La Canada, CA  Verified Purchaser

I am borderline paranoid about sun protection, and am always on the hunt for the perfect sunscreen. I've been using Clarins for the past few years which is also a really good option, but I think SkinCeuticals makes a better product, and I'm really happy to have found it. Great features of this sunscreen include:

- High SPF

- Only physical barrier active ingredients

- Non-comedogenic (I have acne prone skin, and have never had a problem with this product)

- Super lightweight (I have really oily skin, and this sunscreen almost acts like a primer to help keep the oiliness at bay)

- paraben free

The only con I see is it might leave a whitish cast on darker skin tones.

This is probably my favorite product in my whole beauty arsenal.

Awful texture from Riverton, NJ

This had a runny, hard to blend texture and balled up on my face when I tried to apply it. I ended up returning it and repurchasing my favorite, Elta MD UV Physical Broad Spectrum SPF 41 Sunscreen.

Great Sunscreen! from spring valley, CA  Verified Purchaser

Only complaint is that is comes out very liquid like, so be careful when pouring! Other than that it is a great non greasy texture!

Not suitable for dark skin tones BB from Bronx, NY  Verified Purchaser

Pros: Did not break me out (I have combination acne-prone skin); doesn't feel heavy.

Cons: It has a terrible chemical smell that does linger on the skin; it leaves a white cast on my skin (my skin tone is similar to Gabrielle Union's skin tone) that doesn't disappear with time or continuously rubbing into my skin.

Sunscreen that is not worth the money from Gilbert, AZ  Verified Purchaser

I was expecting this sunscreen to be a much larger amount. It claims to be a full-body sunscreen yet there is not enough in the bottle to last more that one use. I was very disappointed and strongly considered sending it back.

The best sun screen I've used ever CC from CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA  Verified Purchaser

I purchased skinceuticals sheer physical uv defense sunscreen based on the raved reviews. When I finally get to try it, I was overwhelmed on how well it performed on my oily and acne-prone skin. The texture is smooth with the right amount of thickness. It appears white at first but dries to a clear finish. It stays put all day and doesn't feel greasy along the day. I think it is also water-proof. I'm really amazed on how a physical sun screen can perform so well. I will definitely keep purchasing it.

my favorite sun block from New Ulm , TX  Verified Purchaser

I wear this sun block everyday even when its cloudy for the past couple years. This is the first sunblock I find effective and non-irritating for my very fair, sensitive skin. Easy under foundation, never greasy and does the job. Nice to be able to be outside without a large brim hat:-)

lovely sunscreen for your face from Kansas City, MO

Love how mattefying this sunscreen is compared to their physical fusion product (which made me look greasy after a few hours).

My mom loves this sunscreen! from san diego, CA  Verified Purchaser

This is the first sunscreen my mom has ever had me repurchase for her.

In the past, she has used Biore, Neutrogena, Shiseido, and Josie Maran. Even with my thorough research none of those products garnered much more than a so-so review from her. The Biore and Neutrogena sunscreens were alright but I wanted her to move away from chemical sunscreens. The Shiseido sunscreen made her skin look dull. While the Josie Maran sunscreen made her skin greasy and caused tiny bumps to form on her skin.

So what is it about this sunscreen by SkinCeuticals that sets it from the rest? My mom loves the fact that it is sheer and her skin has improved since using it. Her skin has cleared up and her skintone is more even.

Not for me. from Flagstaff, AZ  Verified Purchaser

I did not like this sunsreen at all!! I have mildly dry skin and very few wrinkles and this product made everything worse. Every wrinkle was noticeable and I felt like I had been out in the desert for 2 weeks...after applying, my skin felt very tight. I have a fair to medium skin tone and this sunscreen turned my face 2 shades lighter...it looked like I had a white mask on. Lastly, when I went on a hike and got a little sweaty my sweat dripped white droplets and stained my shirt!!!

Best sunscreen ever! from San Francisco, CA  Verified Purchaser

I had melanoma, so I have tried & tested dozens of sunscreens. My dermatologist recommended this one & it's the best, bar-none. It is light & non-greasy, goes on easily under make-up, without any residue, and it really works.

Pretty good from Severna Park, MD  Verified Purchaser

This IS a physical UV spf, not a chemical one, so I feel like it's a better sun barrier. It is non-irritating, and it seems to work very well. But you have to be very careful to only put a dime-sized amount on your face, because otherwise, your whole face will be WHITE. So only put a little amount, and it will stay sheer. If you put too much, you'll end up looking like a ghost.
