best sun cream from austin, TX Verified Purchaser I used it for 4 years. It feels thick but looks like put on cream on my face and it is not sticky at all. That's what I like a lot. Review posted 1/2/2013.

Wonderful for sensitive skin HM from HAMMOND, IN Verified Purchaser The sunblock has zinc oxide which really helps me - I have vitiligo where I don't tan, just burn. And it's gentle enough without other chemicals so I don't break out with a rash from using it. Review posted 7/18/2012.

This stuff works! from San Diego, CA Verified Purchaser I had been a long time user of the Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry Touch sunblock, but discovered that for some reason, it didn't work on the tops of my feet. My dermatologist gave me some samples of Solbar Shield and it did the trick. I now use Solbar Shield on my face and feet. The only downside is that it takes awhile to dry, so you have to put it on before you get dressed otherwise it will slide off. Review posted 8/17/2011.

A great sunscreen without the risk of absorption. from Atascadero, CA Verified Purchaser My dermatologist recommended this sunscreen because it does not contain any of the new "nano" substances that are believed to absorb into the skin and even to the bloodstream. We use it for our kids who are avid swimmers and we have been very happy with it. Review posted 8/8/2011.

Facial Sunscreen for Psoriasis/Dermatitis Patients from Pottstown, PA Verified Purchaser This sunscreen was recommended to me by my dermatologist. I have super sensitive skin as a result of facial psoriasis. Regular sunscreens irritate my skin and sting on application. This product contains titanium dioxide which is soothing to skin conditions. It also contains zinc oxide. Review posted 4/13/2011.

Good value from apo, AE Verified Purchaser This is a very effective non-chemical sun block. Pros: absorbed quickly; no smell and effective block Con: goes on thick and leaves a "chalky" residue. However, that's easily overcome by adding a little foundation. Review posted 8/20/2009.

Sunscreen that you'll want to use every day! from Brentwood, TN Verified Purchaser My dermatologist encouraged me to use SSS #40 after a laser procedure for sun damage. I intended to do just that - but probably only short-term as required. I will use this product daily - and not need reminding!
Remember the lifeguard's white nose at the local pool where you grew up? He knew what worked way back then... This product has zinc oxide that melts into your skin and is invisible! It stays on through sweat and swimming..
I'm being smart about the sun now, my skin is protected and my dermatologist is thrilled :)

No gross preservatives SL from Jacksonville, FL Verified Purchaser Not as hard to apply as most other Zinc and Titanium sunscreens. Becomes a little greasy after awhile but easily fixed with blotting sheets. I liked that this doesn't have any chemical sunscreens or any parabens or other preservatives like that. Also fragrance free is a plus. Review posted 7/15/2009.

Good sunscreen for acne from Lighthouse Point, FL Verified Purchaser I purchased this for my teenage daughter with acne. It works well and keeps her skin white and does not cause breakouts. I would purchase it again, although she does not use it every day. It is fairly waterproof. Review posted 6/24/2009.
