Works very well as sun protector, and doesn't produce allergic reactions like some stuff.

Effective but not attractive by anonymous
My dermatologist recommended this product after I had a horrible reaction to a lipstick. My lips were dry and peeling and I used this product during the day in conjuction with hydrocortisone in the morning and at night.
Vanicream does serve well as a "chapstick", but I have to rub my lips together several times to make the white appearance of the product go away. (once applied, the product appears to be a white lip gloss)
It won't be my go-to "chapstick", but it is effective when I have allergic reactions. I just have to take a good look in the mirror before I leave the house! Review posted 9/20/2008.
Lip Protection that finally works by CK
I have tried everything and nothing has worked until I found Vanicream Lip Protectant SPF30. I always end up with sunburnt lips when we go out boating. We just went on a 4 day boating trip and did not get sunburnt lips. Not even a little.

This creamy white, product is easy to use. Protects lips without drying them out. Moist product. I have one in my purse, car, golf bag and beach bag.

Makes my lips chapped by anonymous
It doesn't have any scary ingredients, which is such a plus. It felt like it made my lips feel more chapped than they were without the lip protectant. I stopped using it.

My all time favorite lip balm by anonymous
I use this product constantly and cannot live without it! I have at least 3 open tubes and keep one in each purse, my sailbag and the kitchen. It is slky smooth, has no taste, no scent and unlike some lip balms is not at all drying - it truly moisturizes. Don't put it on too heavy or you'll have a "milk mustache", but it's gone quickly once rubbed-in. Buy more than one!

I have extremely sensitive skin, when I'm in the sun for more than 15minutes my skin burns and so does my lips. I shopped online and located this online store and read the reveiws on here about the lip balm and I am excited to say they are TRUE! I dont have to re-apply as much as I would with other lip balms and this one protects longer and better.
