Neova skin care was developed in the late 1990’s by a biotechnology company called ProCyte. ProCyte was founded in 1986 and originally focused on research and development of high tech prescription compounds for non-healing wounds. Over time the company realized that many of the compounds they were studying had the potential to be beneficial within cosmeticeutical products. ProCyte thus founded the Neova skin care line called and also licensed some components of their cosmeceutical technology to other companies.
