How to Make a 55-Calorie Honey, Watermelon and Lime Granita

It’s August. It’s hot. Take advantage of our favorite summer fruit while it’s still in season. And the watermelon couldn’t be fresher than right now. So we are taking watermelons and adding honey and lime to make the most delicious granita you’ve ever had. It will keep you feeling cool and refreshed, and it’s only 55 calories—so you can eat as much as you want!

Many of the nutrients in watermelon, such as vitamin A, are excellent for your skin. Watermelon is full of lycopene, which has been shown to fight inflammation that can because from environmental damage and stress.

Watch the video to find out how to make this wonderful treat. Here’s what you need to make eight servings:

7 cups of chopped watermelon (about one-quarter of a whole melon)

1/8 cup of honey

1 tablespoon of fresh lime juice

Combine all the ingredients into a blender and pulse until smooth. Then pour into an 8-inch glass baking dish and freeze overnight. When you’re ready to serve, scrape with a fork and spoon into bowls. Garnish with lime.
