Don't Get All the Bad Reviews

5

I feel compelled to put in a few good words for this little device because I rely on reviews so much in making a product choice. This works like a dream. I don't use it very frequently, once a month is ideal for me, but it clears all the little peach fuzz from the sides of my face and makes it quite smooth. It does what it claims. Right after if you go up your face with your hand you feel the little hairs being a touch prickly which bothered me when I first used it but it doesn't last long and honestly, it's fuzz, so not exactly super prickly. I've never gotten a nick or cut from it either. I'm not sure how you would unless you're using undue pressure. Everyone's skin is different - I'm in my mid-30s, I don't have wrinkles or super lax skin but it is quite thin. If the product appeals to you, give it a try! This has been a surprise winner for me.

Hack job

2

I have used this for nearly two months now and initially I got a couple knicks from what I believe is user error. My goodness, there is no good way to avoid getting knicks and cuts with such a big blade.  I love the exfoliation but am frustrated that I look like I had a bad date with Edward Scissorhands. (Maybe snuggling with aggressive kittens) I would return it if that were an option. This is either too complicated for the average user or isn’t very user-friendly.

Device is great, refills are a pain

2

I have an older version of this device, and I like the results. It takes care of my facial peach buzz well. But I don't see any anti-aging benefits. The refill blades are pricey and you're forced to buy facial products with them that you don't really need (although I am guessing that the products are what help them to bill this device as "anti-aging"). I have facial products for anti-aging and cleansers that I already like, and as someone with really sensitive skin, I would rather stick to those. I just want to buy the refill blades. I wouldn't recommend you buy this unit unless Dermaflash changes the way the refill blades are sold. Remember, too, that the way the device is made you can only use a blade one time and then it's unusable after that.

Good results but pricey

I have some peach fuzz along my jawline that has been bothering me for several months. The reviews seemed mixed but I decided to buy this anyways. Truly it only took 2 minutes to use and my skin looks really good. I am hoping to only have to use 3 or 4 times a year. After a few uses this will pay for itself instead of going to the spa.

Not worth it

My dermatologist suggested I should dermaplane vs full face threading. I bought this dermaplaning device to use in between professional treatments. It does nothing but vibrate. Thankfully because of dermstore's risk free return policy, I was able to get a refund. I would stick to a manual device which produces much better results.

DERMAFLASH Exvoliant

I just used the Dermaflash exfoliant last night. It was easy to use & it did a good job. I look forward to using it again.

How I wish I had read the reviews

This was a complete waste of money and hope. A $5 razor does a better job of defuzzing. Having to replace the blade after every use is absolutely absurd, not to mention environmentally unethical. Literally hours after I use this thing, the stubble returns. It is utterly useless. I am so angry at myself for falling for the hype.

Game Changer

I purchased the Dermaflash Luxe during quarantine as I couldn't get waxed for the last few months. I love the results, my face looks vibrant and my peach fuzz is gone. My make-up is sitting better on my face, and my skin feels ultra soft. I found it to be really easy to use. It is on the spendy-side, but I think it's a good investment.

PLEASE Do Not Buy This Product, You Will Regret It

I am a skincare/cosmetic procedure junkie. I have been doing my own chemical peels and microneedling for years. You can buy chemical peels and a microneedling pen on the internet that would be used by a medical professional/esthetician in office, a dermaplaning device? Not so much.....I understand most people aren't trained to use a surgical blade at home, but I can assure you this device does nothing other than irritate your skin. It removes the peach fuzz, that's it - you can do the same thing with a razor. It is not sharp enough to remove dead skin and you end up scraping your skin back and forth 20 times, just creating more dryness and then end up getting red. I used their pre/post flash products once, it made the redness worse. Could be just myself having an allergy to an ingredient in the product but I also tried using my own products and was still rashy afterwards. I stop using all harsh topicals days before using the device. I also gave myself a month break and tried just a test patch and it was a no go. They also tell you to use this once a week, I highly recommend, DO NOT use this once a week, your skin doesn't even have time to recover. Their reps will all tell you that they use it weekly with no problem, but none of those people are trained skincare professionals. Save your money, and let a professional do this for you every 4-6 weeks if getting results is important for you. I bought this directly from the manufacturer and will be returning it to them asap. It's not even worth "trying for 60 days" as they offer, just don't do it.

dermaflash

I feel like a clown for spending so much money on this. I was trying to be environmentally friendly by not buying the disposable dermaplane devices, but this is just such a waste of money. It removes peach fuzz but doesn't exfoliate. I can't tell that having the vibrations adds anything to the experience. Replacement blades are insanely expensive. Pre-cleanser and post-moisture are unnecessary as anyone would be using their own products at home. Would not recommend to anyone.
