Not the best

2

Not my favorite. Leaves a slight white cast and can pill on the face. I finished the bottle since it wasn't unbearable, but won't be purchasing again.

Good ingredients but transfers easily

2

It does leave a bit of white cast which is not a big problem for me, but I don’t like the texture at all. It sits on the skin and transfers easily and  does not get dried done.

Leaves a white cast

2

The white cast left behind this product does not fade no matter how long you wear it or rub it on the skin. And it just floats on the skin, allowing it to be rubbed off at any point while used in hotter weather conditions.

Great Sunscreen for Melasma

4

I have melasma so I need a sunscreen with a high zinc percentage and preferable one that does not leave a white cast. This sunscreen has one of the highest zinc percentages I've seen and virtually no white cast. I think I prefer their tinted version, but I do like this one too. Knocked off one star because it does leave a slight white cast but it's not too bad.

So luxurious

5

Absolutely love! I keep this stocked so I never run out. Not sure if you can describe a creme as pillowy soft but if you could this would be it! It doesn't burn my eyes like some other spf's do. I really enjoy putting on this spf. It's not a chore; it's something I actually look forward to in the morning.

Moisturizing and Non-Irritating

4

I've just passed my two weeks with this sunscreen, so I think I can share my thoughts. I have deeply sensitive skin with rosacea and contact dermatitis, and have found sunscreens to be a bit difficult with my limitations. I was using one of the Elta MD tinted mineral sunscreens--which I love--but the tint was too dark for my skin. This sunscreen has little to no cast on my fair skin, and it feels beautifully moisturizing! Some don't like the silicony feeling that gets left on the skin, but it doesn't bother me. It is true that you have to give it some time to dry because it feels like it's an easier thing to rub off accidentally. And I can notice some of crevices (like in the hollow next to either side of my nose) are more likely to collect the sunscreen and show some of the white cast. But it's a small price to pay, and I don't think anyone else notices. I like the feel. I like applying it, and I like how it looks. Will keep using, for sure!

Silicone Sunscreen

2

I was not expecting the texture and finish of this sunscreen. It feels exactly like a makeup primer. If you already wear both sunscreen and primer, then this is a great product for you. If you don’t like the silicone feel of a primer, you probably won’t like this sunscreen. I appreciate the velvet skin look but I just can’t stand the way it feels on my skin. I was shocked (but glad) that it didn’t make me breakout. I really wanted to love this but I will not be purchasing it again.

Did not like

2

I've been looking around for a new sunscreen and decided to try to popular mineral sunscreen that has been recommended from many sites and people. This sunscreen left an oily residue on my face that lasted all day. It does not sink in. I don't agree with the description of this product at all of being "barely-there" and "lightweight". It also made my face SO dry. My face felt super dry and made my dry spots worse. I thought maybe I applied it wrong but I research how to apply and tried it over a week and still same result.

My new favorite Sunscreen

5

Daily sunscreen is very essential for me. I was using Elta MD sheer sunscreen but I learned it had Octinoxate as an ingredient, so I searched for a substitute. MD Solar Sciences is the winner! It goes on smoothly, leaves no white cast on my tan skin, feels light, no tacky smell, plus no harmful ingredients. It also doesn't cause me to break out or get shiny. Absolutely love this!
