Light with no white cast

Holy grail sunscreen
Nothing comes close to this sunscreen... been on a huge sunscreen bender during the pandemic and tried dozens of different ones. Fancy and expensive ones, drugstore ones, Korean ones, and this one still reigns supreme. I have even tried the other Elta MD sunscreen (the popular SPF 40 one) and I still prefer this one. It's moisturizing, and pairs excellent under makeup. Nice to wear alone too.

didn't work quite as I hoped
This product came highly recommended (from someone else who had sensitive skin). From first several uses, the weight was great and application was seamless (no residue at all). Unfortunately, after using it for 3 weeks in the morning with no other moisturizer, I found that it started to really negatively affect my skin. Texture began to peel (sorry, gross). And created severe drying. Wasn't quite sure if it was in conjunction with another moisturizer I had been using in the evening and occasionally in the A.M. I tried it a few times with just the product and still was causing me problems. I break out occasionally still and have what I would say is combination / sensitive skin.

Can’t Buy Enough of This Stuff!
While I’ve been using this sunscreen for a few years now, I made the “mistake” of insisting my boyfriend try this before he went for a run. To my detriment, he now LOVES this sunscreen, has ditched his drugstore brand and I still somehow pick up the tab! I asked him why he liked it so much and he said “I dunno. I like how it just soaks into my skin and it’s really light-feeling.” I guess it does feel good to have my expensive skincare life choices validated lol. It wears nicely under makeup, and while it’s “clear” there still is a *slight* cast. But the fact that it’s not greasy and that it smells like marzipan (and not sunscreen!) is the biggest win for me.
