Avene XeraCalm A.D Ultra-Rich Cleansing Bar (3.5 oz.)
A soothing bar soap for very dry and atopic dermatitis eczema-prone skin.
Protect and nourish dry, atopic dermatitis eczema-prone skin with the Avène XeraCalm A.D Ultra-Rich Cleansing Bar. It works to maintain a healthy balance of the skin's top layer—which can be easily disrupted by temperature, hormones, UV exposure, and even skin care. Filled with microorganisms like healthy bacteria, yeast and skin flora, this microbiome layer is what defends against the bad bacteria that can cause inflammation. The bar gently cleanses while protecting against the drying effects of water, and soothes and calms itching sensations. Can be used on face and body. Suitable for everyday use by infants, children and adults.
Key Ingredients:
- Patented I-Modulia®: is a powerful complex derived from Avène Thermal Spring Water that soothes and calms itching sensations while helping to support the skin's defense system

no difference
i didn't notice much a difference with this. the bar doesn't last long.
Report this reviewGentle and Fragrance Free
I mainly use this bar soap on my face after using Avene’s oil cleanser, in order to achieve a great double cleanse. The fact that it’s fragrance-free makes this product a “win” since I have to completely avoid fragrances altogether on my skin.
Report this reviewGood plastic free body soap
This is a nice soap for eczema-prone skin but didn't particularly notice a difference with cheaper options that work just as well.
Report this reviewWorks for me
This is a great product for me, which I use for double cleansing, combined with oil cleansing stuff. I've used up a sample that I was given a while back & decided it should be part of my daily routine, so had to order the full-size bar. It just leaves my skin very clean yet supple without dryness or sensitivity. Try it, 1 full-size bar should last a looooong time, cuz the small sample bar I got lasted surprisingly longer than I ever expected.
Report this reviewNothing special
I was hoping for a really moisturizing soap, but it's nothing special. Didn't do much for me.
Report this reviewMild soap from a reputable brand
Soothing soap, it's gentle and non scented. Works well on sensitive, dry skin, decent price as well.
Report this reviewGreat for Diabetic Skin
My husband has struggled with some type of dermatitis that has gotten worse as his diabetes has gotten more severe. He gets these quarter-sized to hand-sized itchy, red, irritated rashes all over his body and face. He looks like he has poison ivy all the time. This stuff is amazing and has helped his rashes clear up in a few days where no other product has helped. He's tried every severe dry skin product out there and none of it has helped long-term. I'd highly recommend this to anyone struggling with similar issues.
Report this reviewBetter than Dove
I tried this out as it won Allure's 2020 Best of Beauty. I do not have eczema, but I thought this would be a nice switch up from my regular Dove bar. It is definitely very moisturizing and I loved the scent. I wish I could justify buying this every month instead of my Dove bar, but for $12 it barely lasted 3 weeks for me. However I think it is definitely worth it if you have eczema or just painfully dry skin.
Report this reviewNo difference
I don't find this made any difference. Avene products I usually either love and they hit the Mark or they don't come anywhere close. This product, unfortunately, came nowhere close. It is pretty much and overpriced bar of soap. I have been disappointed by Avene in the past numerous times, so I am used to it by now...Although, a few of their products I use work really well, so it makes up for it all.
Report this reviewBeautiful product-so nourishing
This cleansing bar is a delight to use; it is so rich and nourishing. Completely fragrance-free. The packaging is elegant and delightful. Only wish it lasted longer!
