Slip pure silk pillowcases are of the highest quality so they are machine washable, but they are still silk and need as much care as we can give them. Always use a pH neutral detergent and/or fabric softener. Silk is a natural fiber and washing in a solution that's too acidic or alkaline can cause the silk to harden in a single wash. If you can't find a detergent that specifies pH level, opt for one that specifies silk. If your machine doesn't specify exact heat settings, wash on either cold or just one level above cold. If you wish to maximize the life of your pillowcase, hand washing is the ultimate method.

Love the feel
Love silk. I definitely don't get nap creases on my face anymore, and I do think this is better for my hair because of how cooling and smooth silk is. Obviously, this isn't going to cure frizziness but I think a silk pillowcase is more of an investment that adds to haircare, kinda like an unnecessary-but-pampering facial serum in a skincare routine. I have two so far and I know I'll be getting more. Bonus: Blood doesn't show on the black pillowcase. I got my ears pierced and they bled overnight through to my pillow, but you can't even see the stain! Sweet lol.

Will never sleep without it!
I am so happy I switched to a silk/satin pillowcase - my hair feels less damaged and messy in the morning and my skin has improved from using this material. I will keep repurchasing!

I honestly love this pillow case. It is so soft and comfortable. It is a bit slippery, so falls off the pillow pretty often. But the pros outweigh the cons for me!
