Q I have a sebaceous cyst on my leg. I decided to try a home remedy - apple cider vinegar. I have been bandaging a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar on it for the last three nights, removing it every morning, and it has begun to turn a maroon or black color yesterday through today. It also felt irritated and had a slight burning sensation last night. I am aware that home remedies for something of this sort are not preferable as the risk of infection increases; however, my question to you is, do you believe this practice could be detrimental to my skin, given the described effects? Any insight and/or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
A

The location of your cyst and the response to the ACV makes me think that this could me something other than a sebaceous cyst. I recommend reaching out to a physician at your earliest convenience.
