- Q I have been using benzaclin (the 50g jar) prescribed by my doctor for about two months now. I have noticed that I get a real burning/stinging sensation around my jawline and my face is peeling really bad. I think that my face cannot handle the amount of benzoyl peroxide that this jar contains(50mg). My question is if you know of anything else OTC I can use that contains Benzoyl Peroxide but in a slightly lower mg? I think it is overall clearing my face I just feel it may be to strong. I have used salicylic acid medication before and it is just not strong enough for my face so I wanna stick with the BP. Please let me know if you can be of any help! Thank you
