- Q Accutane cleared my face but I have a bad case of folliculitis all over my body (thighs, sides, buttocks, back of my arms). I've never had this before. Could accutane have triggered it? I took ciproloxacin which was prescribed by mr dermatologist and the bumps went away but now I have dark spots all over my body. Are these scars ever going to fade? What can I apply to make them go away? Also, I still get the folliculitis, like 4 or 5 bumps at a time. My face is clear but my body's a mess.

It is possible that the folliculitis is attributed to the Accutane. Accutane can affect the body in a number of ways. The scars may or may not fade - unfortunately only time will tell. In the meantime consider treating with Mederma or Scar Heal Esthetique Scar Creme. Meagan, Esthetician
