Can accutane stunt the growth of growing teenagers

Question: Hi Doctor, I took the drug Accutane when I was 14, going on 15, for about 8 months at a dose of 1mg/kg to treat my severe acne. I have recently become aware that accutane could stunt the growth of growing teenager by prematurely fusing the growth plates. Is this true? Is this a common side effect? I would really appreciate a reply as soon as possible as I am extremely concerned about this. Please reply back to Thank you,

Accutane is not recommended for those that have not completed their skeletal growth because it is still unknown whether or not Accutane can reduce bone healing or stunt one’s growth.
