Hi, I've struggled with acne for the past few years, and have been using Mario Badescu products for the past couple months. I recently got face mapped for Dermalogica products and was recommended: Clearing Skin Wash, Multi-Active Toner, Active Moist, and the Overnight Acne Clearing Gel. I have been using the products for the past week and a half, and I am more broken out than ever. (Painful, and frustrating!) Is this just because 'it gets worse before it gets better', or should I stop using the products? Thank you.

<p>It is very common and actually a good sign when your skin reacts this way (usually). This is typically just your skin purging, a good sign, or cleansing itself of these impurities that have been embedded in the skin. This purging period can be challenging, as it can continue for a number of weeks in some cases and be quite severe. I always recommend clients try to wait it out and see how their skin responds.
