Q I need help finding products that are free of dimethicone which I recently had an allergic reaction to. I should be careful of all silicon oils according to my Dermatologist. I've been usng Jane Iredale and am suspicious of the cyclomethicone.
A

Cyclomethicone does consist of inorganic silicone-oxygen, keep in mind though that silicone is often mistaken as silicon. Silicones do cotain silicon atoms but have a much different physical characteristics, this is something you should discuss with your dermatologist. If you are not having an allergic reaction to the Jane Iredale products then I recommend you keep using them, otherwise you will want to discontinue use.
