Q Hello Meagan, I have porokeratosis (DSAP) on my legs and arms. I am 30 and have learned this is an inherited skin disease (my Mother's side of the family has it). It is provoked from demage done by the sun. I am wondering if you have heard of it. My derm has prescribed me some topical creams that aren't working. I am using AmLactin lotion that seems to be helping, but its a slow process. Any advice?
A

From the research and knowledge that I have gained concerning this kind of issue there is honestly not much that can be done about it so far with today's technology. I have heard of certain laser treatments, however the results have not proved to be great. My best suggestion is to continue using the AmLactin, it will work, although slowly. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Best skin care wishes.

Meagan, Esthetician
