Right now, I HAVE to use *large* amounts of the CeraVe moisturizing cream in the tub on my face because my skin is so dry, so sensitive, and so compromised. I also feel I need to include a facial oil ask the CeraVe cream has none. So then the question is oil before or after the CeraVe cream? Most of what I've read states that oil should be the last step because it is occlusive, but as I understand it, petrolatum is the most effective occlusive. Can oil penetrate through petrolatum to the skin, or should oil come before the super heavy, petrolatum laden cream? Thank you.
