Fingers Prune Quicky in Water Due to Lack of Sebum

Question: Hi for last few days my fingers prune very quickly...almost instantly after touching water? i use hand lotion all the time...especially in this being winter in the northeast...furnance going dry heat...
Answer:

It’s likely your skin is not producing enough sebum, thus causing the pruning or wrinkling. This is what happens when one stays in water for too long. Our skin’s natural oil/sebum breaks down and our skin soaks up the water. I suggest exfoliating regularly to encourage cell production.
