Q Hi, I am having a bit of a problem. I went to a dermatologist and I underwent a treatment of Neostrata 50% glycolic acid. She was not that careful so some of the acid went into my left eye. It felt like my eye was burning. The dermatologist lead me to the sink and told me to wash it out. After that I went to the hospital. It has been over a year now and I have a red spot in my eye. Is there any chance that my eye will get better. And how dangerous can it be to get the acid into the eyes? Please answer ASAP I need to know. Thank you, S
A

If glycolic acid comes into contact with the eye, it is very hazardous. After a year, I would say the red spot is not going to go away. I would definitely speak with an optometrist in regard to your concern for further information and options. Best skin care wishes.
