Q I just bought a high frequency facial device kit. But I also just read it is best to avoid AHA based and glycolic acid products when using the high frequency device. But my cleanser and toner is AHA based to keep my acne at bay and I bought the high frequency device for anti-aging benefits. What is the harm of using my AHA cleanser and toner and then follow with the high frequency device during the moisturizer step (moisturizer is not AHA or glycolic acid based)? Will it make my skin worse? Will my sun spots be more noticeable? Will it cause dark marks to appear on my skin? Is hyaluronic acid based products safe to used with the high frequency device? (My moisturizer is hyaluronic acid based)
A
Hello Sienna, Thank you for reaching out to us. I would follow the Manufactures recommendations. I would cleanse and tone with your AHA products when you are not using your device. Typically it's best to use a gel based product with your device. I`m not sure what brand your device is, you might what to contact the brand themselves for these questions, I want you to get the full benefit of your device. I hope this helps, have a nice day!
