Itchy legs after wax

Q I have a quick dermatology question that I am hoping you might be able to help me out with.....I got my legs waxed for the first time yesterday because I am tired of shaving/constantly feeling like I have prickly legs (for some reason, in the past few years, I have felt like my legs are never completely smooth- even right after shaving. And I get a lot of ingrown hairs too). I was hoping that maybe a wax would help this problem. However, last night, I literally did not sleep the entire night becuase my legs itched SO much after getting them waxed...and they are continuing to inch today....I tried rubbing aloe vera on them as well as some benedryl cream, but neither helped a ton. Do you have any suggestions as to what I should do? Should I go in to see a dermatologist? Also- kind of weird, but my back was also itching last night, which doesn't really make sense to me since I only got my legs waxed haha. I also think I may have made a mistake by exercising before my wax, and then putting the same, tight workout leggings back on after the wax- could this have irritated the skin? So sorry this is so long, but I am desperate! :-) Let me know if you have any advice!

Thank you for reaching out to us. It`s possible that you could be allergic to an ingredient that is in the wax, or like to said putting your leggings on too soon. It`s really hard to say. You might want a good lotion to help calm your skin for now, you might want to try the brand CeraVe SA Renewing Lotion another good brand is Archipelago Botanical`s theirOat Milk Body Lotion. You might want to apply this product after shaving to help with ingrown hairs the brand, Fur Ingrown Concentrate would help with your skincare concerns as well.Hoppe this helps, have a nice day !
