I have an immune diesease called Lichen Plano pilarus that causes my hair to fall out and then my immune system attacks the hair follicle and destroys it. My hair will not grow back then. I also have some female alopecia. My dermatologist put me on a regimen of Clobetasol 2xweek and doxycycline 100 mg 2xday to keep it under control. She also said I could use Mens strength Minoxidil to grow back some hair. But if my immune stystem is killing the follicles how is that possible?
