Q hi, i have a tzone only oily skin. My skin is pretty clear. i had a facial done a few months ago and the esthesian recommended i buy obagi products. The cleanser, toner and blender. she told me to mix the blender with Retin A and apply once evevry 7 days. I have been doing that but it seems that every time i do that my skin gets very red, flaky and dry for at least 4 days. It also feels itchy all over. Frankly i am not so excited about these products. I am 37 years old with no real skin care issues. My skin broke out after each of my two pregnancies which is why i have retin a and still use it periodically. can you recommend a line that would be better for me? thanks farhana
A

It's likely that you are breaking out due to the use of the Blender along with your Retin-A. This is probably too aggressive for your skin, especially if you do not have any major skin issues or concerns. Using just a basic regimen from this product line such as the cleanser and moisturizer would probably be better for you. SkinCeuticals is a great skincare line, however DermStore will no longer be retailing this product in the future. Instead I suggest you consider a more simple skincare brand like Dermalogica or La Roche-Posay. If you would like assistance choosing a regimen please let me know. Best skin care wishes.
