Possible Skincare Mistake?

Q I use a lot of skincare products: Oil cleanser, water-based cleanser, toner, multiple serums and essences, emulsion, eye cream, and moisturizer, as I have generally troubled skin (pre-rosacea, near constant cheek redness, sensitive combination skin, evident pores). Because my old foam cleanser stripped my skin dry and irritated it to no end, I bought a more gentle gel cleanser. However, I've noticed that no matter how much I rinse, rub, and do generally anything to get rid of the remnants, the skincare that I put on afterward foams up in a similar, dense, but small, foam. This NEVER happened with my foam cleanser. And I do not rub, but pat following skincare in, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, or if I may just have to turn back to a deeper cleaning foam cleanser. Could you possibly help me? Thank you!
