Q I'm 24 years old and I'm totally new to taking care of my skin. Currently I'm not using anything on it, but I know that I need to start taking it seriously before I get too old. As a primary focus, I've got acne-scarring and large pores that I would like to address. I've got sensitive acne-prone skin that I believe is on the oily side. I really have no idea what I'm doing and I would appreciate whatever advice you can give me. I've done an awful lot of research on this site and others over the last two days, and this is what I have come up with: Morning 1. EltaMD Foaming Facial Cleanser 2. SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF 3. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer 4. EltaMD UV Clear Broad-Spectrum SPF 46 Night 1. EltaMD Foaming Facial Cleanser 2. SkinMedica Age Defense Retinol Complex .25 3. Sunday Riley GOOD GENES All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment 4. Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer Questions: 1. Should I be using the same cleanser and moisturizer both morning and night? I was hoping to find a good night creme to use instead, but couldn't find anything that looked better than the moisturizer. Maybe Avène Skin Recovery Cream? 2. Do I need both the 2nd and 3rd steps of the night routine, or would that be overkill for sensitive skin? Would I want to alternate nights or else just use only one of those products? 3. I was originally considering iS Clinical Cleansing Complex instead of the cleanser that I chose, and I mostly went the direction that I did because of price. Is there a reason that this one might work better for me? 4. Would I want to use the SkinCeuticals Phloretin CF on a daily basis, or alternate days? 5. My mom got me a facial cleansing brush with the spinning head, but I have no idea how to use it. Should I use that with any of these products, or would it be better to just use my hands? Thank you, Kyle.

Thank you for reaching out to us. For you day regimen it looks great, I would recommend alternating days with the SkinCeutical Phloretin CF just to see how your skin will acclimate to the product. The rest looks great. For PM I would not layer the Retinol with your Good Genes one or the other. They both are good but I would not apply every night with what ever one you decide . Go slow . The Cleanser you have chosen is a nice cleanser. What you could do is when you have finished your EltaMd you could change to the iS Clinical. As far as your spinning brush , it would be nice to use periodically , but if your skin is broken out I would not recommend it , it can cause bacteria to spread causing more break outs.

You do have a nice regimen that you have put together .

I hope iit helps, have a nice day !
