- Question: Hi there. My skin is on the oily side with occasional breakouts around my chin and jawline. I also have Keratosis Pilaris so my skin is naturally bumpy and super read and blotchy. I've recently switched up my beauty routine to incorporate a retinol. I have been using the Sunday Riley Ceramic Slip cleanser with my Clarisonic to cleanse, a Thayer's witch hazel astringent, the Sunday Riley Luna oil, followed by Sunday Riley Good Genes in the evening. I know I need to apply my eye cream, but my eye cream has vitamin C in it and I read that combining vitamin C with retinol isn't a great thing to do. Do you have any eye cream recommendations? Also, I was wondering if the Good Genes treatment is like a moisturizer? Or If I should still apply a moisturizer after Good Genes? In the morning I wash my face (sometimes apply my toner/astringent), apply Sunday Riley CEO Glow and a vitamin C eye cream followed by my moisturizer and sunscreen. Do you have any recommendations or tweaks to improve my skin care routine? Thank you for your time!
Thank you for reaching out to us. In answer to a couple questions. I would recommend that you stay within the Sunday Riley brand ,their Auto Correct Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contouring Cream ,is an amazing eye cream that you could use at night and continue to use your Vitamin C Eye Cream during the day. Good Genes is considered a treatment but it`s also very hydrating especially mixed with your Luna Oil, unless you felt like you needed additional hydration I would add a moisturizer on top. I think you have great regimen going for yourself.I really don`t think you need to add anything more. Itt would be nice to go to a Spa and receive facials from time to time, but other than that I think you`re doing great !I hope this helps, have a nice day! Cyndee, Dermstore Esthetician
