- Q When I was 16 or 17 I was on Accutane. My acne was never bad but my dermatologist thought this would be best for me. After I finished, my skin was absolutely gorgeous!!! I never broke out one time. I am now 20 and can’t seem to find any skin care routine I like that helps me. I have pretty normal skin, it’s not dry or oily. It will get dry if I don’t put on any moisturizer. I have used Cetaphil and CeraVe facewash and moisturizer/lotion. Those didn’t seem to really do much for me. I then was using drunk elephant night serum and Marula oil but they were the same, did nothing for me. I am now using ole henriksen truth line. In the mornings I use the foaming face wash and gel creme, at night I’m using the foaming face wash followed with truth serum and creme. These products have been making my face somewhat greasy feeling. I find myself constantly having to wipe my face because of how shiny and greasy it looks/feels. I usually have a very small bump or two somewhere on my face: always different areas of the face. I also have black heads on my nose, I’ve never been able to get rid of them. I also get redness, not severe, under my eyes on my cheeks. I am trying to find a skin care routine for my specific needs! I am open to use toners, exfoliates, peels, face wash, serums, anything. My goal is to have a smoothe, breakout free, minimal blackheads, even skin tone, hydrated without being oily or greasy, and redness in my cheeks toned down. What would be a good skin care routine for me?
