Q Hi, I'm a 22 y/o white female with fair, very oily skin with random zits. I have used Proactiv exclusively for the past 2 years, but have recently been looking into using Dermalogica based on the reviews. I have researched it, and am looking into using the Dermalogica special cleansing gel, the multi-active toner, the medicated clearing gel, active moist (not sure if this is moisturizing enough to use at night to keep skin hydrated??), and maybe the microexfoliator. I may also start using Shiseido spf55 sunscreen instead of Olay sensitive spf 30. My main question is how do I keep my very, very sensitive skin (thanks Accutane..which I stopped taking about 4 years ago) from going ballistic when I change products? Should I just swap out one product at a time to see if my skin will react badly to it? If so, how long should I use that one product? Or should I just cross my fingers and hope that the new skin care regimen will be for the better and not for the worse? Thank you so much, Rashell

Honestly I don't think your skin will react to the Dermalogica products too much. It is a gentle line, yet still effective. However if you are very concerned you may want to incorporate the products into your regimen slowly like you suggested. Use them a couple times a week for a couple weeks and then fully switch over, use them only at night, etc. Remember though that many times, with any product line you can become reactive, this is your skin becoming acclimated to the products. Because you have very oily skin I recommend you use the either the Dermalogica Anti-Bac Skin Wash or Dermalogica Dermal Clay Cleanser. During the day, ,to control the oil I suggest you use Dermalogica Oil Control Lotion and at night use Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream. Please feel free to contact me with any further questions. Best skin care wishes. Meagan, Esthetician
