Sulfur-based products typically work well on my hormonal acne. I found this one too drying, and blemishes didn't appear to be any less inflamed after using.

This is a drying clay mask with a high concentration of sulfur, so it is great for those with acne and very oily skin. For most people, I think it would be too harsh and drying to use on the whole face. I have oily skin and mild to moderate acne and I typically use this either as a spot treatment or I multi-mask and use a hydrating mask on my dry patches and this mask only on my blemished and most congested areas. If you find this one to be too drying or you don't like clay masks, Sunday Riley has a sulfur mask that has more of a gel consistency and is less drying so I find that I can use it on my whole face. Also, I would prefer if this mask did not have fragrance, but the scent is not bad, and it is a rinse-off product so fragrance is not as much of a concern.

I felt a deep, painful zit coming in on my chin (you know those one that are sore for DAYS and you just know Vesuvius is about to erupt when you least expect it??) I remembered how much I loved this mask a few years back so I dug out of the closet and spot treated and holy cow, the zit DISAPPEARED. I've been spot treating ever since and I truly recommend to everyone.

This mask has all of the right ingredients but then they add fragrance which is terrible for sensitive skin. Sulfer is just smelly and you can't hide it, so I don't know why they would do this.
