DHC olive SOAP

I haven't used this soap in a long time and decided to "revisit" it.  Just wonderful.  A tiny bit and it's frothy and rinses instantly.  Wonderful

Favorite bar soap

I love these small soaps especially for travel, and it lasts and lasts. Cleanses very well, and not drying. Perfect for travel kit especially.

Just right

I have combination skin that tends to get dry in the winter. This cleanser is gentle and cleans well without drying out my skin.

Don't like this product

I am a regular user for years of the DHC olive oil cleanser and have been happy with it. I use the heavy olive oil cleanser with my Clarisonic brush and is good. But I ran out of my usual creamy Eminence cleanser and used my sample DHC soap because is also supposed to moisturize. It lathers up fine but leaves the face feeling tight. The next morning, my skin looked dry. I know soaps work differently than creams, but the manufacturer says it's good for mature skin. Word to the wise is stick with what already works for you. That's the lesson I've learned.

Gently removes impurities

This Soap gently removes impurities without over drying my face or making it more sensitive than it already is.

A bit harsh

I typically cleanse my face with the DHC olive oil cleanser followed by a drugstore brand cream cleanser. That routine fully takes off my makeup without irritating my skin. I recently ran out of cream cleanser and tapped into my supply of multiple samples of this DHC olive soap to use in its place. After using it as my second step for a couple weeks, it was clear that this soap is much harsher than a cream cleanser. My skin felt too tight after I used it and I had more irritation blemishes than normal. It also didn't fully remove my non-waterproof mascara. If you're the type of person who likes to use soap on your face, this is a fine choice. But if you prefer milder cleansers, go with the olive oil!
