Nice glow

I use this if I'm going out since it provides extra coverage. The smell is a little off putting but it doesn't last. Good spf coverage.

EltaMD's UV Glow Tinted Broad-Spectrum SPF 36

2

I usually use the other SPF 44 Broad Spectrum, but this product gave me a brown spot after using it. It feels very thick and heavy on the face, and it had a funny smell. I was hoping I could return it. It does not suit my skin. If you will see I re-ordered another SPF and the toner by Elta MD, which works better. I hope I can return. Thank you.

Yikes!

Definitely glowing...but not in a good way. The tint is way too orange.

Mucky and White casted

2

I received a sample of this UV glow with a product purchase, and after hearing so many rave reviews about EltaMD I was dumbfounded. This one in particular is horrible. It is chalky, heavy, and leave you super white casted. I put it on with my moisturizer in my morning routine and my make up just felt and looked weird all day. I was so aware there was something on my face. Hoping the other Elta sunscreens are better, because as of right now I don’t get the hype at all.

Not what I thought.

1

I wanted to try the tinted product after years of using the clear for my face. There were lots of very positive reviews for the tinted and comments that it was very lightweight. This product feels horrible on my face. Heavy, thick-feels like a children's heavy, oily sport sunscreen. And the SPF is only 36, which I didn't realize. I did think the actual tint was ok, not real obvious. I am going to try once more with the tinted, 46 SPF product and see if that is better. That one does have good reviews, so we'll see. There are a lot of options now so be sure you read carefully and are aware of just what you are ordering.

Sunscreen

Does not have a strong scent, which I like. Goes not pretty thick, but rubs in well. Wish there were tint color options

Chalky and thick

This left me looking like a ghost. The cream is thick and does not absorb well at all. There is no tint, just a chalky white look.

Best tinted sunscreen so far

4

I have oily skin with dry cheeks (eczema), really stubborn hormonal acne, and I live in Florida. Also just started tretinoin about a month ago. This sunscreen protects my skin so well from sunburn since I work outside. Match is perfect (usually a light-medium, or medium in foundation), doesn’t make me breakout. Downsides: pricey, and slides if you don’t use the right skincare products. Lightweight gel moisturizer is a must if you have oily skin. Def use setting spray if you use this as makeup like I do. Really wish it was a bit cheaper though, for the amount I use it

Sooo thick and almost like wet chalk

2

This is way thicker than any other eltamd sunscreen I’ve used (and I’ve used at least 5 different kinds). I’m not sure if it’s something they have to put in it to make it ‘glow’ but it’s really thick and almost hard to spread on my face. Not a fan and will stick my my uv elements and uv clear for now!

Great Mineral SPF

5

I love this sunscreen! I received a sample of the untinted version and was pleasantly surprised given the reviews. Yes, it is thicker than the UV Clear, with more of an initial whitecast, because it is a purely Zinc Oxide sunscreen. If you are not fair-skinned, I highly recommend the tinted version for dry, sensitive, acne-prone skin. I love the UV Clear as well, but it has a tendency to pill on top of my other products, and I don't like how shiny it looks on my face. Wonderfully, the finish on the UV Glow is satin to matte, without feeling drying, and it has a lovely sheen to it that doesn't make me look oily or sweaty. I put the entire sample into my hands and rubbed the product together to warm it up, then it spread beautifully over my whole face and neck. Will definitely be purchasing the full size and trying the tinted version for summertime!
