EltaMD UV Pure Broad-Spectrum SPF 47 shields the skin from UVA and UVB damage during sun exposure. The gentle formula is quickly absorbed by the skin without leaving an oily residue and is water resistant for up to 80 minutes. Safe for sensitive skin conditions, including rosacea.

Chalky with white residue
Honestly, I am not a fan of this product. It's chalky, difficult to rub into the skin and leaves a white residue all over. It feels just the same as the cheap mineral sunscreen from the drug store. I would recommend buying the EltaMD UV Clear sunscreen instead. It seems a much better product to me.

Great product that I've used for years
This is my HG sunscreen for my sensitive skin. Does not leave too much white. Does not leave too much of a feel -- blends in, feels good. Doesn't irritate my skin. However Dermstore sends bottles with the old label, not the new one as advertised. The expiration date is still fine, but I wanted the newer bottle. Dermstore throws up roadblocks making return impossible so I'm stuck. Might be a system problem, but still the outsourced rep says should work and provides no alternative. Guidelines say "Reviews should relate to the product itself rather than any other aspect of our site or service" but sorry Dermstore, customers should know that they likely can't return what they buy.

Disappointing for Elta
I have used all of their products and love them but this one is not good. It goes on think and stays white. I also have a hard time removing it from my hands after applying. I bought it for my face but not happy I did.

Wow this sunscreen stays on! While you do have slight white hue after application, it quickly absorbs leaving nothing behind. This sunscreen STAYS ON! After my outside workouts, I have to scrab a little extra when washing off post exercise. If you're outside a lot, this is a must!
