Was Open / Leaves Slight White Cast
5I really wanted to love this product, as this brand is clean and high quality. However, the product was already opened. I still put a bit on my face and it left a white cast like others mentioned. It eventually went away, but I didn't want to have to wait a few hours until it soaked in (just when it would need to be reapplied).

makes face white
3If you're purchasing this product then you've gotten to the point, like me, where you've researched chemical sunscreens and are unsettled by their toxic side effects. This mineral sunscreen is safe and healthy. Unfortunately, like all mineral sunscreens, it leaves a white cast on my skin, making me appear even paler than I already am. I do not think this would work at all for someone with a darker complexion. The other problem I have with it is that it doesn't spread easily. Once it's mostly distributed it starts to seize up on the surface of your skin and requires fairly aggressive rubbing to get it to blend evenly and not look streaky. This rubbing pulls on my skin more than I am comfortable with, especially around the eyes, which feels like it's stretching the delicate skin that I am working so hard to keep firm and tight.

Not my favorite sunscreen moisturizer
5I was really hoping to find a great moisturizer that included an SPF for day time use. This seemed to not moisturize enough and left a white cast on my skin. I guess I'll stick to using a moisturizer and SPF separately.

Good product
5I'm picky about sunscreen, especially sunscreen for my face. I wanted something that was at least SPF 30, and consisted of ingredients that physically block out the sun vs. chemical. This moisturizer has zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, two mineral sunscreen elements that are currently the only 2 that are recognized as generally safe and effective according to the FDA. I almost exclusively use Eminence products for my facial moisturizer needs since I believe they are a high quality product that is also cruelty free. The consistency compared to the other lilikoi sunscreen (The sport sunscreen tube) is a lot better as it spreads evenly. I have to rub it in quickly for the moisturizer to fade from its natural white color, otherwise you might have a white cast to your skin. It also helps if your fingertips or skin is very lightly damp to help the moisturizer fade into your skin more. So far I've been pleased with my purchase and I'd probably buy more of this sunscreen again.

Love that its natural
4Good option for a natural mineral-based SPF moisturizer. This does leave a white sheen on your face for a minute or two after application but it fades away quickly. My only complaint is that its not very moisturizing. I usually need to combine it with a coconut oil moisturizer - which is also necessary to help spread it as it is very thick. As an alternative to oil, you can wet your face before applying.

Best Facial Sunscreen Ever!
5I have extremely sensitive skin-easily reactive, can be prone to breakouts, is combination-oily and dry as well as more mature with visible signs of sun damage. Needless to say finding a sunscreen for my face has been very important. It has also been very challenging to find a daily sunscreen moisturizer that works well and does not cause an unwanted reaction. I began using Eminence Lilikoi Mineral Defense Moisturizer SPF 33 this last spring and it has worked amazing for me. I found the key to applying it is to dab a bit on key points around my face then dampen my fingertips with water and it applies very lightly and smoothly. It has not broken me out at all and I am actually enjoying a clearer smoother complexion that is well protected from the sun.

3I was using Juice beauty sport mineral sunscreen before I gave this one a try. However, this dried out my skin. I dont' know why.

The search for sunscreen continues
5Unlike other reviewers, I was unable to apply this without gaining an opaque, white coating anywhere it's applied. So I went to the eminence website, which suggested to use face oil underneath the sunscreen. So I bought some face oil ($$$) to use with this sunscreen ($$$) and the opacity of whiteness is reduced but still present. The worst part about this sunscreen is it leaves a white layer on anything my face subsequently touches - from my phone to my now died over ear headphones. Unfortunately, I live in tucson so I can't return this sunscreen because I can't go any time without sun protection - otherwise I'd have sent this back long ago. It's also pricey enough that I can't buy something else and then eventually return this and get the refund after purchasing a replacement. Overall very disappointed.

not what i expected
3this is more of a sunblock with a pleasant smell. i wouldn't call this a moisturizer. i always apply a light moisturizer underneath this when i do wear it because i feel that mineral sunblocks tend to dry out my skin so I like to moisturize underneath before applying the mineral sunblock. this makes your skin take on a whitish tint.

Wonderful smell but did not work for me
3I love Eminence and was exited to try this one. The smell is very pleasant. When applied though it leave a white layer on my skin (and I have fair complexion). It did not feel very moisturizing as well, but this could be just how it felt on my skin. Returned it and got another Eminence product.
