Eminence Organics' Bright Skin Licorice Root Exfoliating Peel is a results-oriented peel solution that reduces the look of uneven pigmentation. Lactic and mandelic acids gently exfoliate dead skin cells, while licorice root and Eminence's Natural Hydroquinone Alternative from African potato and tara tree brighten the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Added bonus? All the exfoliation promotes cell regeneration. Plus, it comes complete with 35 natural cotton rounds.
Vegan, gluten- and nut-free.
Dispense one to two pumps of the solution on one of the dual-textured cotton round pads provided. Apply in circular motions covering the face and neck, avoiding the eye area and leave on.
Use up to three times per week as required.
IMPORTANT: Skin will be more sensitive to the sun. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product.

I bought this product hoping for for the best and I enjoy venturing out to try a new product every now and then. I used it a few times on my face, but I didn't like how it felt on my skin so, I decided to use it on my back. It did help with back acne, but I wouldn't re-purchase it.

Good product, terrible packaging for $80
This product was nice. I always thought it felt refreshing to use and, despite hating licorice, I found myself actually really liking the smell-very spa like and natural, as with most Eminence products. I actually consider myself a huge fan of Eminence and have never disliked anything I've used but with this packaging I just had to lower the score and likely won't be buying again. You receive 35 cotton pads to use with this, but I had 5 left by the time my actual product ran out (the liquid in the jar). Disclaimer: although their instructions say use 1-2 pumps, I felt I had to use minimum of 3 to get product to every part of my face because the way it's set up, you push down on a pump and product comes up, really heavily saturating one part of the pad, and most of that doesn't transfer to your face. It sticks in the cotton pad (wasted product). The other generally annoying thing is that even if loved the product so much that I could put up with bad packaging, you cannot see into the jar to tell how much is left. I like to order my staple products when I can tell they're running low so I have more right when I need it, but with this you don't know until you're out. Overall just poor design and it would be so much better in a jar like a normal toner that you turn over to dispense product, or as pre-saturated wipes like Zo Health/Dr. Dennis Grossman do.

I alternate between this product and the overnight correcting cream. It's a gradual process, but a safe alternative to other lightening products especially while pregnant in my 2nd trimester.

The best I've tried so far

I started using this product after my last BBL Laser Treatment. The esthetician at the medispa had recommended it to help continue to brighten and lighten my pigmentation areas. It has been about 3 weeks now and I love the glow that the Licorice Root Peel has given my face!! I am using it about 3/week. I have not had any skin irritation issues so I might begin to use it 4-5 times a week. It's very lightweight and I put my other skincare products on over it. I would definitely recommend!
