Hi! My name is Kim and I’m a hair junky!

2

I’m a hair junky! I love to own the best of the best hair products and I’m willing to pay for the best. Unfortunately the Harry Josh Pro dryer was not a good choice to replace my beloved Dyson.  They are not well made (example: the nozzles are made of thin plastic and a piece of wire - that broke on first use).  And more importantly the dryer cut off continually (it kept cutting off while I was blow drying my hair - I finally gave up and got out my 10 yr. old stand by dryer to finish drying my hair). Not a good first impression!!  I tried one more time a few days later with the same issues ... before I sent it back to the Dermstore for a refund.

Great little dryer

4

This is a really great dryer. It’s a little heavier then my old dryer but does a great job. It doesn’t seem to be any faster to me but my hair is less frizzy.  Not as quiet as the Dyson.

Love This, however the cord is a twisted mess!

3

This is the best hair dryer I have ever used! The reason for the 3 stars is the annoying cord! It is so tangled and twisted and no matter how I have stretch it out it goes right back, returns to its tightly twisted self (the way it came) so I can only go so far away from outlet with the dryer even though this is a very long cord, hope this makes sense. My husband who does Electric stuff says his worry is that eventually from being so twisted and then trying to constantly untwist is that the wires may gradually break or bend and the hair dryer won't work.....so if it was a different cord on this it would be ten stars easily!!!!!

Better than the Dyson In my opinion

4

I got this hair dryer after reading all of the great reviews. I’ve been using the Dyson for a year or so, and it just makes my hair a tangled mess with very dry ends. As with every new styling tool, there is a learning curve, but overall I feel like this is the better tool for my hair.

Warranty

1

The blow dryer itself is great. It’s really light and it works well. My qualm is that I’m a hairstylist and this is a professional blow dryer. It had great reviews so I took the plunge. The clip that holds the vent on is held together by a really thin piece of plastic and for as much money as this blow dryer is, it should be stronger. When you buy this blow dryer, just know that the warranty is only one year. I looked everywhere that I could on the website and couldn’t find that information anywhere. For just a little bit more I could’ve gotten a Dyson and had a 10 year warranty.

Not worth it

1

It is definitely not worth the money. It does dry hair quickly, but it is so small that you have to keep it angled  perfectly at all times to avoid sucking your hair into the air inlet. There is also no diffuser to fit it. I guess it would be good for someone with very short hair who wants to dry it quickly.

great dryer, meh on weight

4

This dryer is very, very lightweight. But the 11-foot cord is not. It's a super long, heavy cord that adds significantly to the weight of the dryer, and can be cumbersome. I got the Harry Josh to replace a Conair Infiniti Pro, which weighs almost 2.5 pounds, and I'd say that in practice, the Harry Josh Ultra Light feels no lighter than the Conair. Which is to say, it's fine. But it's not stunningly light, which is what I'd hoped for. But! I love everything else about this dryer. It's very comfortable to hold and use—the slightly matte, textured finish feels especially secure in your hand—and the short nozzle is easier to handle than my previous dryer. It seems to dry hair fast. I actually did a timed test, drying half my head with Conair and half with Harry Josh. The Harry Josh was a little faster, I think. But the difference didn't blow my socks off. Somehow I think Harry Josh leaves my hair looking better? Is that possible? TBH I debated returning this dryer because it felt like such a splurge, and because I love the retractable cord in my old Conair. But in the end I kept it, happily, because it's a joy to use and I love love the color. Two final notes: when my mom came for a visit she loved the 11-foot cord because she could plug it in halfway across the room and still perch in front of the mirror. She dries her hair sitting down in the bedroom; I do it standing at the bathroom mirror. So the cord length could be a bonus for you. And for the Harry Josh team: I looked everywhere on the packaging to try to decipher the ionic/non-ionic icon on that switch. Like, which is which? Wish this was called out clearly in the handsome booklet that comes with the dryer.

Great Luxury Hair Dryer

5

I've been wanting this hair dryer for ages and finally invested in this dryer and hoping it lasts me a decade-plus. The color is divine and it is definitely the lightest dryer I've used other than small travel hair dryers. I'd recommend this product for anyone with shoulder, arm, neck, and/or spine issues and are looking for a great light dryer option investment that won't add extra strain on your body. It is suuuuper powerful and you can tell it's very well made. Definitely would recommend.

Save your money

1

Honestly, I paid for this dryer full price and it hasn't lasted longer than a dryer that I got from target years ago. The paint on it is peeling off and the dryer doesn't turn off. There is a malfunction in the off button and I now have to pull out the plug on the dryer for it to stop. I hope I don't have to explain why that's a safety hazard... I've attached a photo of the paint peeling off and I wish I could upload a video of the power button malfunctioning too but the file is too big for this post. Tried to contact customer service but no response whatsoever. Terrible. Please save your money.

Best Hair Dryer Ever

5

I have thick curly hair that takes about 45 minutes to achieve a salon quality blow out. This blow dryer cut the time almost in half. It gets very hot and smooths all the frizz out. I would only recommend for thick hair, curly hair or frizzy hair as I imagine that it would damage more delicate hair. I am obsessed and its worth every penny.
