I may have gotten a bad batch but I've never had a sunscreen pill this bad before. A stiff breeze will cause this screen to flake. The only thing I could recommend about this product is that it doesn't sting the eyes but you will get product debris from blinking.

I used to love this sunscreen, but something has changed. It pills terribly with or without makeup. I always allow my sunscreen to set. If I don't apply the recommended amount required for SPF, I have no pilling. What's the point??? I'm trying to use the product up, but I dread putting this on my face because I know the end result of the inevitable pilling.

I ordered this once off Amazon and three times off Dermstore. The first time I thought it smelled bad and just figured it was not an original product since I purchased it off Amazon. Then I discovered Dermstore and bought the Solar Defense three more times, each one with the same bad smell. Maybe it is just me but it smells like it is expired or rancid. I do like other aspects of the sunscreen, experienced some pilling but that only seemed to happen if I didn't give it enough dry down time between moisturizer before and foundation after. I did really like that it dries clear with no white cast. Like I said I really wanted to like it but for me the smell was just too bad. I would still recommend it though as others don't seem to have the issue with the smell.

This sunscreen is unscented and lightweight even though it has SPF 50. My aesthetician mixed this with a moisturizing gel and apply them on my face after my facial treatment. I took a star off because it requires me to use an extra product to get to the right moisturizing texture I want. Otherwise I do like it because most sunscreens break me out and this one does not.

this sunscreen has a creamy, smooth texture. it has a white tint that does disappear into the skin. its finish is mostly matte.

I hate wearing sunscreen...that is why my 70 year old face has sun damage. However, I found this sunscreen a few years ago when on a search for protection and tried a multitude of products...I became serious about skin care at the sweet age of 60. Well, let's say, it isn't too late. With the help of a few other products and this go to sunscreen every spring, summer, and early fall, I am helping to keep the hands of time from moving forward too quickly. It is soothing, doesn't look or feel greasy, works wonderfully with makeup, and doesn't highlight my imperfections. It's worth the price.

This goes on smoothly and leaves no cast. Dries beautifully and layers perfectly with other products. Non irritating on my sensitive skin. Does not burn eyes. Fragrance, sulfate and other potential irritant free. This is definitely going to become a staple in my skincare. I am encouraged to try the tinted version also.

I should have returned this but I regret that I did not. It does not apply smoothly and does not give enough moisture for my dry skin. It does not work under the make up either.

I like the ingredient and it is moisturizing, but it balls up a lot unless apply it on bare skin. May be used after toner=super fast morning routine

It piles so much and you can't wear makeup on top. Also smells weird. I used it up but I will not be repurchasing. I like Elta MD better.
