As an Esthetician, I have tested and used SO many skincare lines and IS Clinical is one of my Top 3 Favorite Lines of All-Time. It's worth every penny because it works! I've seen it work for my clients, my mom, my girlfriends and on me. Its been a few years since I worked in the spa where I was introduced to the line so I no longer get discounted products and I still buy many of their products to use on myself. And the White Lightening Serum is one of those products. My skin is combination yet sensitive and I still struggle with adult hormonal acne. Because I'm fair, every single blemish I get will leave behind hyper-pigmentation that can take up to a year to disappear on its own. I use this in conjunction with the White Lightening Complex and the cleansing gel and only in the PM. Because the White Lightening products are very active, they can be too drying if over used so I use the Serum and the Complex every other night. First I cleanse with the gel, then apply the Hydra-Cool serum (for moisture) and let that dry. The I apply the White Lightening serum and follow with the Complex. My skin ALWAYS looks more refined and the hyper-pigmentation is a bit lighter by the next morning. Bonus: the White Lightening products are also great at keeping break-outs at bay and treating current congestion because they contain several AHA's for powerful exfoliation-esp when used together. Also, I only use the gel cleanser at night and sometimes only every other day if I'm feeling dry or dehydrated because it has glycolic acid in it. You must use the White Lightening serum and/or Complex consistently in order to get the major results. But even if you aren't great about applying your products consistently, you'll still see improvement each time you use the product(s)- it just wont be as dramatic as if you use them regularly (every other night or every night if your skin can handle it). Don't forget that you will still need to moisturize (I recommend the IS Clinical Hydra Cool serum or ARCONA Hydrating Serum) and you MUST wear at least SPF 15 everyday because use of any AHA's or other acids make your skin even more susceptible to sun damage-which only worsens existing hyper-pigmentation.Report this review
