Jan Marini Skin Research Benzoyl Peroxide 10% strength is the medication of choice for treating acne. Benzoyl Peroxide is recognized by the American Academy of Dermatology to significantly reduce the presence of P acne bacteria (the bacteria believed to play a primary role in the inflammatory aspect of the acne process). Many physicians and researchers believe that Benzoyl Peroxide, used in conjunction with Glycolic Acid, is a potent tool to achieve dramatic clearing of acne lesions and prevent changes within the follicle associated with the acne process. This highly micronized formula has a soft emollient consistency.

Key Ingredients: Benzoyl Peroxide 10%
Begin by applying once daily only, preferably in the evening to affected areas, not just individual lesion. Apply BPO after the application of all other products. Keep away from eye area. Unless acne is severe, it is generally recommended to begin with the 5% strength in the evening and increase usage to morning as well, if necessary. As skin acclimates, strength may be increased to BPO 10%. Benefits are further enhanced when used in conjunction with Bioglycolic products.
Please Note: During the first 1 to 2 weeks of usage, it is not unusual to experience dryness, flaking and increased irritation. Generally, this period of acclimation is brief and can be reasonably managed by limiting frequency of exposure.

Great for acne
This works to get rid of acne, especially if you use the entire Jan Marini system. I use the glycolic wash, c-esta serum, bioclear, followed by this benzoyl peroxide, then the moisturizer. I like that it keeps me fairly clear without much irritation (using too much can be too drying). In my experience, it works better for my pimples and cystic acne than whiteheads or blackheads. Also, it can discolor pillowcases, towels, and clothes (I learned that the hard way).

I've been using that product for 2 months now, even though I have very sensitive skin it doesn't bother me. Also, I do not use this product all the time maybe once a week when my breakouts out of control. Overall it is a good product. Although to use it every day it would be too strong.

I got this product in hopes that it will help to prevent breakouts, clear out black heads, and purify my pours. I have been using it for a week in the evenings, and when I wake up my skin looks refreshed, and pours do seem tighter. I used to wake up and go look in the mirror for any new imperfections or breakouts, but I haven't had any new ones since using this. I also have not experienced drying yet, but I have been good about moisturizing before I put it on, as well as misting a rose water on my face after I apply this cream. I can tell its stronger than other on the spot treatments from target. I also think this bottle is a good value, and I like the dispoenser that it has in the cap to prevent excess from coming out. I will continue to use it and hope it works well for me!

Very gentle but effective!
I've used a BP from many other brands, and it has always irritated my skin. This BP is very gentle and never irritates me! Has helped with my breakouts tremendously. I've noticed with a good skincare routine and adding this BP (apply all over) my acne has gotten a lot better. Sometimes I also use this as a spot treatment.

I have been using benzoyl peroxide products since i was 15 . Everything from doctor prescribed to drug store and this is hands down thee best . It doesnt make my skin peel or break out in a rash . I only use it now for serious breakouts and it worked wonders for my bacne!

I use this moisturizer every other night in conjunction with the Replenix benzoyl peroxide wash and I have noticed a huge difference in reduction of blackheads and whiteheads on my face.
