Use our Simple Eye Technique. Apply your darkest color in a sideways V with our Eye Contour Brush. Highlight above the iris in a medium shade with our Eye Shader Brush. Highlight the brow bone in your lightest shade with our Deluxe Shader Brush. Blend well with a clean brush. It's always a good idea to brush the base powder on the eyelid to even out the skin tone and for sun protection. Don't try to match the eye color with a shadow, since this will only cancel-out the eye. A complementary/contrasting color is what makes the eye pop (e.g., brown/blue). Spritz our eyeliner brush with D2O, Balance or POMMISST and pick up shadow for an eyeliner that stays and stays. If you have red or dark circles, stay away from blue or gray tones. They just accentuate the darkness.

Perfect Shadow
This was my first Jane Iredale eyeshadow purchase. I bought Forest on sale and it exceeded my expectations. Silky texture, buildable and long wearing. Will be purchasing more colors.

I have hazel eyes, and this shade is lovely as a smoke along the eyelash line. Use an eyelid primer, as it cakes in the creases more than some of my other eyeshadows. It goes on dark and matte, but you can smudge it lighter by having less on the brush. Nice that you can apply it both ways: dark and lighter.

I purchased Supernova. It's a nice lighter purple shade, although you can darken it a little by layering it a few times. It doesn't bother my eye allergies.

I have fair, sensitive skin and love this eye shadow, especially "Oyster" above the eyelids under the eyebrows. It lightens with a slight shimmer but not too much. I use darker colors on my eyelids. I was surprised at the quality-it goes on smoothly and has staying power.

I'm now in my 50's and people were surprised that I went to a Southlake TX spa for a makeup lesson, as I needed to adjust my makeup with my aging skin needs. This white pure pressed eye shadow was the biggest and most welcome surprise. It brightened my eyes instantly! No more shimmers or colors. Just this eye shadow and a touch of bright bronzer on the crease-wow, wow, wow. I look so much younger!

I am a blue eyed brunette and I hate all the nude colored shadows which have a brown appearance. I don't feel like they look good against blue or green eyes, at least for me. This nude has a soft pink appearance and makes a perfect single base layer on my light colored eyes, or allows for buildable color with other colors over it. It's mineral content makes it have great staying power and I would buy it again.
