My Secret Anti-Aging Weapon

5

My dermatologist enthusiastically recommends the La Roche-Posay line of sunscreens. I wear sunscreen everyday year-round. It's just a standard part of my skin care routine. I like the consistency which is more like milk than a cream. I think this makes it easy to get full coverage and protection. (I put a small puddle of it on the back of my hand, then easily spread it over my entire face and neck.) It's truly invisible. It doesn't leave any white film and it's non-tinted so no worries trying to match to my skin tone or having it rub off onto clothing. Because I can apply this more like a moisturizer than a foundation, I believe I'm able to get better sun protection. Because it's basically invisible, I'm able to use any type of makeup over it or go with just a bit of blusher and lip gloss.

Pricey but worth it.

I first received a trial size of this sunscreen in a summer skin gift set. I loved it so much that I purchased it full size, and it's become my favorite sunscreen. It's lightweight, drys pretty much all matte (good for oily/combo skin) and it doesn't leave any white residue or have a strong smell. My only complaint is the price, since it's a relatively small bottle. I typically purchase this when it's on sale, there's a coupon code, or I have reward dollars to use.

Fave product

Absolute must have product. Applies very well, with no residue. Doesn't pill with makeup. Will forever repurchase.

It does the job

Be careful if you have sensitive skin. This product stung my face but seeing as this is the 2nd product from this brand that stung, it is most likely that I am sensitive to an ingredient that they use. In terms of the formula...meh. It's a nice enough sunscreen that doesn't leave a white cast and rubs into the skin well but there are sunscreens that I prefer and are cheaper.

nice texture white overcast

My dermatologist recommend this sunscreen because of high levels of physical and chemical sunblock actives, I reapply in the early afternoon as I have rosacea and sun exposure is an irritant for me. For the price I would like to see some ingredients with skin care benefits such as similar brands within this price range such as Elta MD. I don't find the formula greasy as some people have mentioned my main concern is the white cast. I'm on the fence about if I would repurchase.

Nice Active Sunscreen

4

Applies nicely, enough slip to it. It stings my skin when I first apply it. Doesn't leave a white cast (light skin), doesn't feel sticky, doesn't smell overly sunscreen-y, and doesn't pill for me. My skin feels supple when I wear it and it is great for outdoor use. Pretty expensive for the size, so I prefer a more low-key and affordable SPF for day-to-day wear and this for outdoor active wear.

effective, but chemical vs. mineral

4

I typically stay away from chemical sunscreens, as they irritate my skin, but this was an exception. It is a super light formula-almost liquid-and applies nicely. I have relatively normal/combination skin and this did dry fairly matte, as advertised. Still, the retail price is quite high when there are more affordable, equally effective mineral options available.

High UV protection. Light, thin consistency. Easy to apply without tugging on skin. Dries non-greasy.

Lightweight

Great lightweight sunscreen. Can't even tell I have it on. Doesn't make my skin breakout either.

Excellent sunscreen

This sunscreen applies with ease. It does not interfere with the application of a foundation and is invisible on the skin. Protects my face from the sun year around.
