Breaks me out

2

I know people rave about this and swear by it, and it does have a great ingredient line-up, but it broke my sensitive acne-prone skin out pretty badly and I suspect the shea butter or some other ingredient happened to clog my pores. I was trying to use it to help heal dry and chapped winter skin,  but now I use it as a hand cream rather than on my face and body. It’s just rather expensive to use only for a hand cream, unfortunately. Also has a slight grassy smell to it, which I think comes from the centella asiatica, but it’s very unpleasant to my (also fairly sensitive) nose.

Good, but for my use, I'm buying something else

4

I bought this with the intention of "slugging" in the winter time. It was recommended on YouTube and I thought I would give it a try to use basically as a sleep mask to keep in my face from over-drying. For reference, my skin is dry. I prefer using something more occlusive like Aquaphor for an overnight occlusive.

Didn't understand the hype until I got it!

5

Skin Details: Dry, Pretty Sensitive, Fitzpatrick Type 3, have been on Accutane for 8 months Honestly, I didn't understand the hype before I got this product. I was going on tret to treat some severe adult acne before I went on to take Accutane, and I would see that so many people on tret and on Accutane would swear by this! So I decided to get it and test it out, despite seeming a bit pricey for its size. This has never stung upon application and it feels so healing!! At first, I only used it on my really dry patches because of how small the bottle is, but then I realized a little goes a long way and used it all over my face when my skin felt very dry and my skin barrier was very compromised. I really liked the consistency of it and it had a pretty nice scent to it despite being fragrance-free. I saw my skin healing and becoming less sensitive and dry patches disappearing over time. I feel I no longer need it as my face moisturizer, so I now use it whenever I have a sensitive/dry patch on my face and as my eye cream in the AM (because it has a white cast and it brightens my undereye area, sounds weird but it works for me). I got the bottle in May and am just now running out and repurchasing! Would recommend this product to literally anyone and everyone!

Good for mom + baby

5

This works well for multiple uses, and I like that it is fragrance free and the ingredients are effective yet gentle. A little goes a long way - if you are too generous, the product does not absorb to well. On myself: I use on dry/irritated face skin (especially areas that tend to flake, like nose), dry hand skin, and on cuts/scrapes. On baby: helps to soothe periodic diaper rash. I also used it when he gets occasional skin irritation (such as from rubbing his face) and on scrapes. I've been using it since he was a newborn. I plan to go on Retin-A when I am done breastfeeding and I also heard it's super great for that. I will continue to repurchase for the foreseeable future.

Excellent Product

5

I have been using this product a while now and it has helped the dryness and flaking I often experience. It is thick and leaves a white cast when I first put it on but settles after a couple minutes. I put it on before bed when I notice my skin is extra dry and flaky.

Great for dry skin and retinol use

5

I started using prescription retinol to clear up some acne breakouts and my skin was so dry. This helped so much to calm my skin and really hydrated.

Great Over My Retinol

5

This is a must-have for my evening skincare shelf. It's thick and doesn't break me out. It's perfect for going over my retinol to avoid dry skin. It's affordable, great quality and nice and thick cream. Highly recommend this one!
