Bought solely for toning purposes
5I use Olaplex 3 and Olaplex 0 regularly. I had previously used Olaplex shampoo and conditioner, and while I really liked it I cut it out of my routine because I didn't think the cost was worth the benefit for me. However, I am growing out highlights and it has been over a year since I had my hair colored. The growing out highlights have a brassy color as usually happens with blonde highlights. I used multiple purple shampoos and didn't seem much effect. I decided to give this one a try. I wet my hair in the sink, shampoo and put it up in a clip and let sit 10-15 minutes. I do this once a week and it helps a lot to take out the brassiness and leaves the old highlights much cooler toned so they blend well with the rest of my hair. I use a sulfate free shampoo on my other daily washes, and the brassiness seems to be held back all week. The purple shampoo is worth the cost to me, since I haven't found any other brand of purple shampoo that seems to be effective. Also, I like that this brand of purple shampoo doesn't leave the hair dry or damaged feeling.

5I have hair that really, really wants to be orange when bleached. Stubborn hair. Olaplex’s purple shampoo is keeping me from looking like a clown. It’s kept my hair cool-toned longer than any other shampoo I’ve tried.

5I'm so bad with upkeep and maintenance of my bleached hair, but this shampoo truly makes a difference whenever I remember or decide to use it. Not very moisturizing, but it's a shampoo not a conditioner, so that doesn't bother me.

5I continue to love all of Olaplex products and have been using them forever. This new shampoo is great for aging hair that chooses to be the natural color intended, as we mature. It leaves my hair feeling healthy, happy, and totally manageable. It is a great addition to their line of products.

5I am so grateful Olaplex came out with this shampoo. I bleach my hair which has very strong yellow tones and I need a purple/blue toner to get them out and purple shampoo to keep it under control in between salon visits. Between the bleach and toning shampoo my hair was breaking and getting destroyed. I switched to Olaplex and it literally saved my hair!!! But I had also given up my purple shampoo until now! It does a amazing job of getting the yellow out but doesn’t leave my hair stained purple like other shampoos I’ve used. It’s also not nearly as drying. I still use it sparingly. But it works so well I only need to use it once every 1-2 weeks.

3As an Olaplex lover, I was pumped to try their new purple shampoo. I use No. 0, 3, 4 & 5 currently and swear by the products which have actually changed my hair into the healthiest version of itself. While the blonde enhancing shampoo undoubtedly provides that icy blonde we all crave, it felt very drying during/after application. Fast forward after using approx. four times over two weeks, I began noticing breakage around my face (where my hair is blondest), and not just minimal breakage. I lowkey developed bangs, and I don't have bangs. I stopped using immediately and have been treating my hair with kid gloves ever since. It may be great for some, but if you have fine, blonde, color treated hair, you were warned!
