Dissolving into the strands when wet and delivering a light hold as it dries, its wheat peptides work to fortify as soy peptides hydrate, smoothing your tresses for a frizz-free style that lasts. Made to moisturize while adding a gentle firmness to your curls without the frizz, this quick-absorbing gel forms a moisture-protective cast ("Curl Cast") to ensure optimal bounce and impart shine in your locks all day long.
Key Ingredients:
- Soy and Wheat Peptides: locks in healthy hydration and strengthens hair, eliminating breakage and split-ends

Apply gel between palms and glide evenly over hair, tilting head forward and scrunching upward to define curls. Once applied and scrunched, it is advised to not touch the hair to allow the Curl Cast to form while drying. For added volume, dry with the DevaFuser. Once dry, shake at the root and gently scrunch upward to soften the firm cast to reveal bouncy, soft, crunch-free curls.

Had high hopes for this product but did not getting the results I was looking for. It may take more trial and error though I don't think it's right for me.

Some curlies love this
This was a gift, and I have tried every way to use this product hoping to like it. I even had a lesson from a friend, but I just cannot like this product. It's just too sticky for me. My daughter in law, whose hair is really kinky, just cannot use it either. Still on the quest for the right gel. Some of my curly friends do love this product, though.

Natural Look
I have long curly hair and this product helps define my curls without making them feel "crunchy". I think this product also makes my hair feel softer and I like the way it smells. I put on when my hair is wet and then let it completely dry!

Great, but may take some trial and error
I used to use the DevaCurl ultra defining gel, thinking that it would hold my curls better, but a stylist suggest this lighter version for my fine, 3b curls. It works out a lot better for me. It is kind of a tricky product to use in the sense that you need to figure out how to best work it for you. I apply about 3 pumps to my soaking wet hair and scrunch with a microfiber towel to remove excess water. Then I have to diffuse/let dry COMPLETELY - I think that this product makes my hair take longer than usual to dry. After completely dry and maybe a bit stiff and crunchy, I scrunch all of the gel out. The stiffness disappears and I'm left with soft and bouncy curls that last for a few days.

Absolutely wonderful
Without making my curls crunchy or greasy, this leaves them defined and beautiful. Having recently gotten a perm, I've used a number of items and this one is above and beyond! I've gotten so many compliments in the last few days since using it, including a few strangers who said I have the most beautiful curls and didn't believe me when I said it was a perm!

Best Curl Product
My hair is wavy/curly and if I let it do what it wants it is a big, frizzy mess. I've tried a lot of different curl products, and when the woman with the best head of hair I've maybe ever seen recommended Light Defining Gel I ran out to buy it. While this product goes on a little heavy, once your hair dries, it pretty much dissolves if you shake out your curls. My hair feels soft, has little frizz, and plenty of body when I use this. It's the best! My tip: be generous with the product. Don't be afraid if it feels goopy while your hair dries, the feeling will go away and you'll be left with a fresh, bouncy head of curly hair!
