Great for Make Up Removal
I absolutely love this cleansing oil for removing make-up. I was using Dermalogica precleanse but seeing this for half to price I had to try it and I am glad I did! However, it does leave a bit of a residue on your skin so I recommend following up with an additional cleanser to remove that layer. I also like to wet my hands and emulsify it a bit before I rinse it off, I find that helps reduce the oil left behind. Overall it is awesome!

I was scared to be honest because I have acne prone skin. This has caused no issues for me in regards to acne. It cleanses well and is good for the winter months when skin can be drier. I wish for the price you got more for your money.

Good basic cleansing oil
As the previous reviewer stated, this is a very basic cleansing oil in the way of ingredients. However, I do find that cleansing with pure coconut oil/olive oil leaves a film on the skin, whereas this cleansing oil washes off very easily, leaving no discernible residue behind.

Gentle and Thorough Makeup Remover
Let me begin by saying that I have never conceived of this product as a "cleanser" in the usual American sense. It is a Japanese product designed to be used as part of a Japanese "double cleanse." A double cleanse consists of a makeup removal step, and then a foaming cleanser (what Americans usually think of as a cleanser) to wash away the residue of the product and any makeup you may have been wearing. Many of the negative reviews I've come across seem to be from people that use this as a stand alone cleanser and I can't help but wonder if that has something to do with it. I have combination/dry skin that is also acne prone, and if I use this alone, I absolutely will break out. With that, I will tell you that I ADORE this as a makeup remover! There is nothing that dissolves sunscreen and waterproof mascara so quickly and gently as an oil based formula. The beauty of this formula is in the way this differs from your typical classic cold cream or oil cleansing method, and that isâ€" it is designed to rinse away with water! Regular oils and cold cream need to be tissued off, making a huge mess and leaving far more residue on your skin. You often hear makeup artists at fashion shows extolling the virtues of cold cream, but they care mostly about how quickly and thoroughly makeup can be removed to apply a new look, not if the residual product will cause breakouts down the line. This product is truly the best of both worlds- it removes makeup and then washes away as cleanly as an oil cleanser ever will. It's also worth noting that this smells exactly like olive oil (because that's what's in it!), which I find pleasant and certainly doesn't stick around for long.

If I had to give up ALL other products this is the one I would keep. I've experimented with oil cleansing but found it leaving to heavy a residue for my skin, but THiS! It melts dirt and makeup away effortlessly & rinses of leaving my skin clean & soft. Must have.
