DHC Soothing Lotion hydrates skin and creates a protective barrier for smoother skin. Lifeless skin cells are removed for continuous moisture. Serine, an amino acid keeps moisture levels balanced and alcloxa soothe skin. The creamy formula is perfect for dry skin types.
After washing face and patting dry, apply toner to skin with hands or DHC Silky Cotton.

Light and calming
My skin has been sensitive lately and I was looking for an essence or toner to calm it down. I’ve been very successful with DHC products and this one didn’t disappoint. It’s fragrance-free and quickly absorbs. It calms and, like the name says, soothes my skin before I apply anything else. I’d recommend it to anyone who wants a gentle essence to add moisture to the skin.

Nice toner
This toner is very moisturizing and has no scent. It last a very long time so it’s well worth the price. The only downside I could see is the fact it is a glass bottle, but that never bothered me.

Great toner
I've been using this product fairly regularly for a few years now. It is just as the name says, a soothing lotion. No matter how irritated my skin may be, this does not burn or cause any adverse reactions. It is a bit drying, which is also what it is supposed to do. So definitely moisturize well after toning (as we all should be doing anyway). I sometimes mix things up with other toners during the week depending upon the state of my skin, but this one is a staple and the go to whenever my skin is having issues, and I need something on the gentler side. I'm a fan of all DHC products I've ever tried. Good products at a reasonable price.

Moisturizing for supple, soft skin
I don't know what kind of magic is in this toner, but it leaves your skin so incredibly soft and smooth!! It is truly unlike any toner I have ever Used, there's no tight skin feeling, just luxuriously supple skin. LOVE IT!

Very nice product but too harsh for me
My skin is dry with a tendency towards some redness on my cheeks so I keep my skincare routine to a minimum ... just gentle cleansing and moisturizing ... so as not to exacerbate the condition. Been wanting to add some mild exfoliation to my routine and thought this soothing lotion might finally be the holy grail product I was looking for but it is too harsh on my picky skin. Knowing how my skin is, I started slowly, only using this 2x/week but still no good. It does leave my face very smooth but stings my cheeks and leaves them red and irritated for hours. I will keep it and continue to use it on my hands and T-zone that do seem to benefit from it w/no issues.

Leaves skin soft
I can't say I exactly notice a difference when using this, but it leaves my skin soft after use. It is a liquid, so don't be fooled by the "lotion" name. This is the first toner I have used. It does come in a glass bottle, so it looks fancy, but not sure how it would do traveling.

When is a lotion not a lotion? Great Product
I have been using this product for over 5 years. I can't believe it took me until in my late 40's to realize that great skin care has at least 4 phases: makeup removal, cleansing; toning and moisturizing. I was especially ignorant about toners and their importance. I tried this product from DHC for toning and I can't image putting on my moisturizer after cleansing without using this product first. Very gentle on my "sometimes" rosacea skin, no strong odors and as another review said: "It comes in a glass bottle!" The glass bottle makes me feel like I'm indulging in something luxurious. It was counter intuitive at first to put a "lotion" on at first - and then I realized that it's really not a lotion - it's a liquid. (Toners can be liquid or lotion based, believe it or not). Calms my skin and immediately soothes my face even after my weekly exfoliation. I tried the CQ10 but it irritated my rosacea...so I'm still using Soothing "Lotion."
